Assessment and analysis of the development of regional and local self-government in Europe after the emergence of the concept of Europe of the regions

Author(s): Hasan Azis

Achieving real autonomy of local self-government is directly dependent on the sufficient financial security for the implementation of the powers conferred and delegated responsibilities of local authorities by the state. In the context of regional development, the link between policies and strategies lies in the impact they have on space. The effect of their implementation is realized by assessing the impact of their implementation. In order to achieve the strategic goal of Europe – cohesion, it is necessary to optimize and integrate the achievements of the established models of decentralization in the EU countries, which will contribute to the reduction of regional disparities and inconformities.
